His rally was also endorsed by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's party, Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz, Pakistan People's Party, ANP and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Party.

The rally has also been named as Independence March. During the rally, a meeting was held at the residence of Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss the option of tackling the rally.

At the meeting, officials said people had the right to protest peacefully, but they could not take Islamabad hostage. Meanwhile, security of sensitive government offices and foreign embassies was also discussed.

It was decided at the meeting that all the opposition forces would be discussed first, if they failed, then the government offices and the sensitive areas would be appointed. However, the final decision on the military will be taken by the Pakistan Interior Ministry.
