Eight killed in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag landslide

At least eight people were killed due to landslides in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. The accident was triggered by the collision on two motorcycles and a car returning from Kedarnath, in which eight people have lost their lives.

Eight people were killed when a landslide hit a road in the Chandikadhar area of ​​Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand.

The rescue team was dispatched to the incident site following the tragedy on Saturday evening and the bodies of five people were evacuated from the incident site on Sunday morning.

The other three injured died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. According to Rudraprayag DM Mangesh Gildial, the victims of the accident are estimated to be returning from Kedarnath Dham.

In addition, he said there was no information as to how many people were traveling in the vehicle as the carcasses of the people were scattered under the debris.

The rescue team recovered three injuries from the incident site, which were sent to a nearby hospital while the bodies of five others were recovered from underneath the debris.

As per the report, Delhi's registration number is placed on the vehicle of the accident victim. Some of the deceased are believed to be from Delhi. Authorities conducted activities to find out the identities of the victims of the accident and formed an inquiry committee.
