Delhi High Court: Senior Congress leader P No relief to Chidambaram. The court on Monday rejected the former finance minister's bail application.
Former finance minister and senior Congress leader PK facing INX media case Chidambaram is currently in jail. The Delhi High Court on Monday rejected his bail application and the CBI has opposed Chidambaram's bail.
In addition, the court expressed the possibility that those witnesses might be affected. Chidambaram's bail application in Tihad jail has been rejected due to his refusal. On August 21, the CBI arrested Chidambaram.
The CBI and the ED acquitted Chidambar based on the statements of INX Media promoter Indrani Mukherjee and her husband Peter Mukherjee. While Chidambaram was finance minister in 2007, he helped INX Media Group get FIPB approval to earn Rs 305 crore foreign money.
