Former finance minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram's troubles do not seem to be nearing an end. Indrani Mukherjee claimed that we gave a total of five million dollars to Chidambaram and his son Karti abroad.

The foreign names that Indrani has given include Singapore, Mauritius, Bermuda, England and Switzerland.

The CBI on Friday filed a charge sheet against Chidambaram and his son Karti. The CBI told the court that we have requested further details in the foreign countries where Indrani has been named. CBI is investigating the INX Media case.

Charges were filed against four companies and eight persons. The accused were charged under sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 420 (fraud) 468 (fraud) and 471 (forgery of the Bogus document as genuine) against the Indian Penal Code.

Indrani Mukherjee is currently in Mumbai jail for the murder of her daughter Sheena. He told the CBI that we met Chidambaram in March-April 2007 to pay the bribe amount.

The CBI conducted a case in May 2007 of a total foreign investment of Rs 403.07 crore received by INX Media and launched an investigation. At that time, there was a Congress government at the center and no one was able to hand over Chidambaram.
