New delhi date. 24 October 2019 Thursday

The BJP and Shiv Sena alliance was moving towards a majority in Maharashtra as the Congress was giving a strong fight in Haryana, according to an unprecedented turnaround in the two states of Maharashtra and Haryana.

In Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Aditya Thakare of Shiv Sena were leading in the constituency of Sharad Pawar while Sharad Pawar's residence was closed as most of his party's candidates were far behind.

Maharashtra Assembly has 288 seats while Haryana has 90 seats. The two states voted on October 21st. Maharashtra recorded 60.49 percent and Haryana 65.75 percent

This election is very important after the cancellation of Article 370, which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir on August 5th, because it will be judged by voters whether the Center has adopted the BJP's policy or not.
