Bihar: The Punpun River Danger Line has been crossed

Patna, Ta. Saturday 5th October 2019

The torrential rains that have been falling for the past few days have not yet drained the flood waters in Patna, Bihar's capital, last week. The flood water of the Punpun river crosses the Danger Line and ascends three feet high, fearing that Patna will be flooded again.

Trains running between Patna-Gaya were also stopped due to the ferocious nature of Punpun. As a result, thousands of tourists flocked. In Patna, especially in the rural areas, people were terrified but fleeing, where there was water all around and the traffic was in trouble for the last few days. At the time of this writing, flood water had penetrated most of the villages in the banks of the river Poona.

The entire administrative system was once again simplified. According to the latest report, markets were closed in Kankadbag, Rajendra Nagar and Pataliputra in Patna. School colleges were also closed. A government spokesman claimed that we were sending food packets to flooded areas.

However, the highest relief work was being done by the State Disaster Relief Force and the National Disaster Relief Force. RSS volunteers were delivering food packets, milk bags, and clusters.

Some voluntary organizations were also involved in relief work. Military troops were ready to face the flood situation.
