Hong Kong, Ta. October 10, 2019, Thursday

Apple has removed an app service from Hong Kong. China claimed that the protesters knew the police's location using the app and warned the company not to do politics in Hong Kong. The company then took action.

An app called HKmap Live in Hong Kong was created for Apple users. This app was a special feature in Hong Kong. Apple was threatened by a Chinese government newspaper, The People's Daily, in which a live location could be seen and a police location.

China said China will have to take action if Apple does not stop this kind of politics in Hong Kong. Apple has finally removed the app after local protesters challenged the government system with the help of the app and China threatened that Apple should not do local politics.

Apple said in a statement that it was decided to remove the transfer app in view of the company's policy that the service should not be kept in service which violates local law.

The company has noticed that this app is dangerous for the safety of the local people and hence its service has been discontinued with immediate effect. This app was downloaded by 70,000 people in Hong Kong.

However, the company did not specify that the mobile app has been downloaded, its service will stop or continue. Apple has made it clear that no new user can download.
