In the case of INX Media, former finance minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram, who is currently in Tihar jail, has knocked on the Supreme Court bail.
Chidambaram's lawyer Kapil Sibal has appealed to the Supreme Court to hear the bail plea immediately.
The Delhi High Court has rejected Chidambaram's bail. Then he is in Tihar jail. Recently, he also went to Tihar jail to meet Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Chidambaram.
He was arrested by the CBI on August 21. The investigation is currently underway and the CBI claims that there has been a lot of turmoil in the matter of sanctioning INX Media. Chidambaram was finance minister at the time.
