2 smugglers arrested in Punjab with over 60 crore heroin

Rural police on Wednesday night in rural area of ​​India Pakistan border area received a major achievement by the rural police. Located in Pakistan and in the international market, it seized twelve kilos of heroin worth Rs 60 crore and arrested Gurpal Singh and his accomplice Manata Gurpreet Singh of the village of Rodawala who brought the heroin.

The arrest was made by DSP Vikramjit Singh Duggal and DSP GS Nagra of the rural branch of the Punjab Police. Speaking to media, DSP Duggal said that the National Security Act was imposed on both.

Both of them will be produced in court this morning and police will be trying to get more details on remand. He said that the police had received information in advance that heroin was coming from Via Roadwala village from Pakistan which was to be sent to Amritsar.

Based on this information, the police set up a watch on the drain bridge. Both smugglers appeared on a motorbike as soon as police picked them up. In his search, he had found twelve kilos of heroin, valued at Rs 60 crore in the international market.

We are currently scanning the mobile phones received from these two to investigate the way in which the heroin was infiltrated and who its source is.
