Thus, Aam Aadmi Party's dissatisfied MLA Alaka Lamba today met with Congress President Sonia Gandhi, speculating that she would join the Congress ahead of the Delhi assembly polls earlier this year.
Lamba, however, said she had met Mrs Gandhi to discuss a number of issues, including the current political situation in the country. Earlier, Alaka Lamba, who started her political career right from the Congress, has provided 20 years of service to the party at various levels. Then they joined you.
Lamba, a MLA from Chandni Chowk area last month, announced in the last month that he had given up on himself and was going to contest the assembly elections as an independent candidate.
Alka Lamba has been knocking with you for some time now. He refused to campaign for the party in the Lok Sabha elections. He asked the national coordinator of the party, Arvind Kejriwal, to accept the responsibility of defeat for the party's defeat in the elections.
Lamba disagreed with the party's resolution to withdraw the Bharat Ratna Award, awarded to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He was ready to face any punishment for his decision.
