Colombo, Ta-12 September 2019, Thursday

The Sri Lankan Cricket Board announced on Wednesday that when our cricket team was due to visit Pakistan, we received exactly the threat that your team would be terrorized.

It should be remembered here that when the Sri Lankan cricket team visited Pakistan in March 2009, the team was terrorized in Lahore. Twelve gunmen were struck when a Sri Lankan team reached the bus near Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, injuring more than five Lincoln cricketers.

The Sri Lankan cricket team is currently planning to visit Pakistan. A spokesman for the Sri Lankan Cricket Board said, "We received clear instructions from the Prime Minister's Office of Sri Lanka to reconsider the plan for a visit to Pakistan and proceed after examining how the security arrangements are in place."

Sri Lankan cricket board declined to disclose any further information. The Sri Lankan cricket team canceled a visit to Pakistan, which a Pakistani spokesperson described as the result of India.
