Serena wins 100th at US Open in semifinals

American Legendary Tennis star Serena Williams made it to the semi-finals of the US Open Women's Singles, winning the quarterfinals by losing just one game to Qing Wang of China, 6-1, 6-3. Serena's victory in the quarterfinals was her 8th career victory at the US Open. Serena will now clash against Ukraine's Svitolina in the final four. In the other quarterfinals, Svitolina defeated Britain's Johanna Konta in straight sets 3-4, 6-3 in the final four.

In the other quarterfinals, Belinda Bensch of Switzerland will face Croatia's Donna Vekic. Canada's Andriscu will face Britain's Mertens in the final quarter-final.

Serena, who has won the US Open six times, entered the final four of the last Grand Slam Championship for the eighth time. Notably, Legendary player Chris Everett won the record 8th at the US Open on the same day three years ago.
