Phone service started after one month in Kashmir Valley

Srinagar, Ta. 5 September 2019 Thursday

When Jammu and Kashmir's special status was canceled on August 5, the entire Jammu and Kashmir phone service and Internet service were shut down.

Phone service was resumed in the Kashmir Valley from midnight on Wednesday. Hundreds of phones were ringing again. District Magistrate of Srinagar said that mobile phone service will also be started within a few days.

It is the central government's calculation to gradually remove all sanctions. Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah, the two former chief ministers of the state, and their father, former Union Minister Dr. Farrukh Abdullah, are in the custody. Information about them is yet to be announced when the central government will take a decision.
