India opposed it when China raised the issue of Kashmir in the UN General Assembly. India had made it clear to the whole world, including China, that the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir is entirely an internal matter of India.

After China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi's address, India warned China not to change 'status quo' through the Sino-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), recommending China not to interfere in its internal affairs.

At the UN General Assembly, China raised the issue of Kashmir, saying that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved peacefully through the UN Charter, Security Council proposals and bilateral talks. He also stressed that Pakistan's special ally China should not take unilateral steps to change the status quo.

Addressing a United Nations General Assembly on Friday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, "The Kashmir dispute should be resolved peacefully and properly through the UN Charter, Security Council proposals and bilateral talks."

India should not take any unilateral decision so that the situation in Kashmir changes. As a neighbor of both India and China, China hopes to have a peaceful and effective solution to the Kashmir dispute and to strengthen the relations between the two countries, "Wang said.

In addressing the United Nations, China raised the issue of Kashmir, India strongly objected, saying that the decision to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was an internal matter of India. Kashmir is an integral part of India and all countries of the world, including China, should respect India's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

"We hope that China does not try to change the status quo through the Sino-Pakistan economic corridor in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir," Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar said. These economical corridors are illegal in POK. The removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir is entirely an internal matter of India. '

India had on August 5 decided to repeal Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and split it into two Union Territories. Pakistan has been deeply irritated by India's decision and has so far tried to raise the issue globally. The statement of the Chinese minister is very important on the second day after Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan raised the Kashmir dispute in his first address to the United Nations General Assembly.
