MDMK leader Waiko filed a petition in the Supreme Court over the detention of Farooq Abdullah. The petition claimed that Abdullah's detention was illegal. In that regard, the Supreme Court has given notice to the Central Government and clarified.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has been detained under the Public Safety Act. Under this law, detention can be held for up to two years.

The petition claimed that Farooq Abdullah was in custody from August 5th. The Supreme Court then issued a notice to the government and issued an order to clarify about Farooq Abdullah.

Within a week, the central government will have to respond to the Supreme. MDMK leader Waiko demanded before the Supreme Court that Farooq Abdullah should be tried before the court. Because the government has violated the law by detaining it.

Farooq Abdullah is the first leader to be detained under a Public Safety Act against a Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. This law came into force in 1978.

The National Conference, on the other hand, also announced that the party would officially contest a legal battle over the detention of the party chairman. The party claimed that no official information had been given to them,

However, Farooq Abdullah has been detained from August 5th. Opposition also cooperated on the Farooq Abdullah issue. Avesi raised the issue why is the government so scared of an 83-year-old? Why could they be detained this way?
