Most Hindus out of 19 lakh excluded from NRC: Sangh angry

We do not mind reservation, continue as long as the beneficiaries benefit: the union

Final list of NRC has been declared in Assam. However, the list that was announced earlier could not include 41 lakh people, whereas 22 lakh people were included in the final list and 19 lakh people could not be included in the list, meaning that 19 lakh people were Indians of their citizenship. Failed to prove it.

While the matter is currently under dispute, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has also made a statement regarding it. The Sangh has said that the final list of the NRC has been announced, there are some shortcomings which should be addressed and the government should move on. Most of the citizens are Hindus but they are not included in the list.

In addition, the union again gave its opinion on reserves. The Sangh said on Monday that the NRC was a very good and welcome thing. However, any deficiencies that have been left in it need to be addressed.

A meeting of the Sangh was held in Pushkar, which was the last day on Monday, in view of which a press conference was held. At this press conference, the union said, "We urge the government to remove the deficiencies left in the NRC and move forward."

Union General Secretary Dattatreya said that the NRC is a very complex issue but welcome. Many Bangladeshi names are on the electoral roll. About 35 to 40 lakh people have migrated from Bangladesh to Assam. He has also been awarded legal documents by previous governments. As a result, the whole matter has become more complicated.

The NRC was also discussed at the union meeting. And the final list of the NRC is not the law, there are deficiencies that need to be removed. And the list that is not included in the 19 million people who are not included, most of them are Hindus. So this list is flawed. About 200 delegates from other sub-35 organizations participated in the meeting.

Meanwhile, reserves were also discussed at the union meeting. Union President Mohan Bhagwat had earlier said that caste-based reserves should be discussed.

However, there was a great deal of controversy following his statement, but now it is stated in the union meeting that the beneficiaries should reserve as long as they need and receive benefits. Joint Secretary Dattatreya made this statement,

He said that the Sangh very clearly believes that no citizen should be discriminated against on the basis of caste, and such discrimination should not prevent anyone from entering or using public places like wells, temples etc. We also believe that as long as people are getting the benefit of the reserve and need it should be continued.
