Kashmir sarpanchs, members will be given two lakh insurance cover, police protection

Terrorists have become a threat to sarpanchs in Jammu and Kashmir. Following this, many village sarpanchs are in a state of fear. Amidst this situation, the government has now made an announcement and has said that any sarpanch in Jammu and Kashmir who is at risk will be provided security by the police and they will get an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh. So if a sarpanch is attacked and dies in such case, this money will be given to his family.

Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday announced to give the insurance cover to a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir sarpanchs. This benefit will not only be given to the sarpanchs as well as those who are members of the panchayat ie taluka panchayat.

About 20 such Sarpanchs and Panchs have been delegated to Home Minister Amit Shah in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, Amit Shah assured the delegation that about five youths from every village in Kashmir would be given government jobs.

"We demanded protection because of the danger to our lives," said Mir Junaid, Kupwada sarpanch, one of the delegations involved in the delegation. We made this demand in the wake of fears that we might be attacked by terrorists. Which have been accepted by the government. We made this request before Home Minister Amit Shah.

The government has assured that those who are more likely to attack the sarpanch and have already received threats, will be provided security by the police.

Another Sarpanch, Zuber Nishad said, "We have been assured by Home Minister Amit Shah that every Sarpanch and Panches of Jammu and Kashmir will be given insurance cover of Rs two lakh."

Amit Shah has assured us that mobile service will also be resumed in Jammu and Kashmir in the next 15-20 days. In addition, the government has also promised to provide jobs to the youth in the rural areas. Which was announced by the Governor earlier.
