New delhi date. September 2, 2019, Monday

The Indian Air Force will deploy eight Apache helicopters at Pathankot Airbase. Eight Apache helicopters will join the Air Force in a program to be held September 3 in the presence of Air Chief Marshal Dhanoa. The Apache AH-64E fighter aircraft manufactured by American company Boeing will be deployed across Pakistan, thus increasing the strength of the Indian Air Force.

India signed a contract with Boeing, the US government and the US defense company, in 2015 to buy 22 Apache helicopters. For its part, India was given the first volume this year.

These Apache helicopters with combat capacities will be included in the Indian Air Force as well as the Indian Air Force's strength will increase manifold across Pakistan. These helicopters are made of very advanced technology and the world's smallest air force owns this helicopter. The American Air Force uses Apache helicopters.

The helicopters will be handed over to the Air Force at a program in the presence of Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, a senior Air Force official said. After going through various stages, such helicopters will be included in the Air Force. Earlier in July 2018, the Air Force flew the first test of an Apache AH-64E helicopter.

After the test was successful, further action was taken and a special team of Air Force pilots were trained to fly these helicopters. American company Boeing said that by 2020 the Indian Air Force will be given all helicopters. Boeing has built 2200 helicopters of the Apache type.
