In West Bengal, there were several clashes between the BJP and the police

Kolkata, Ta. September 2, 2019, Monday

In West Bengal, there was friction between BJP workers and police. BJP is accusing our leaders of attacks.

With these allegations, BJP activists and leaders have demanded anonymity. Protests were organized in 24 parganas districts of Bengal. During which the BJP workers blocked the road, many people were facing problems. In the midst of this situation, police had lathi charge to disperse the workers.

A local BJP leader and MP Arjun Singh was injured when protests broke out on Sunday too, and he was later taken to a local hospital for treatment. Governor Jagdeep Dhankar visited BJP MP.

Dhankar told reporters that I was in Delhi and that I had cut my travels and later visited Arjun Singh. Meanwhile, shops and markets were closing in the markets due to BJP protests.

In addition, road-blocking traffic was lost in several areas. A dispute between police and BJP workers in Lakthi here has led to clashes, in which both police and workers were injured.

Police also had to carry a baton charge to disperse the mob. On Sunday, the BJP MPs were injured in a scuffle after which a 12-hour ban was announced by BJP workers. BJP activists staged demonstrations on Monday. After meeting with Arjun Singh, the Governor said that there were incidents of violence which I am sorry about.

Whenever anything happens to lawyers, doctors, teachers, journalists, I feel sad. In West Bengal, even before the Lok Sabha elections, BJP and TMC workers have been seeing friction. These disputes are likely to continue until the assembly elections.
