Hint of Trump's big announcement during the 'Howdy Modi' show in Houston

US President Donald Trump has hinted at a big announcement on Sunday at the mega event 'Howdy Modi' in Houston. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a forum with him at the event and the two leaders will address more than 50,000 Indo-Americans. Prime Minister Modi will travel to the United States between September 21 and 27, in which he will meet with Trump and address the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The White House said Monday that Trump will join Modi at the Mega Houston rally on September 22. The US President's engagement will further deepen the relations between the two countries. For the first time, Trump and Modi will be on the same platform. As part of the event, the two leaders will meet for the third time in three months.

The two leaders have previously met at the G20 meeting in Japan in June and the G-7 summit in France last month. I have many good relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. So they can make a big announcement, ”Trump said in a conversation with reporters on Air Force One when he returned from California to Washington DC. However, he declined to provide any information on the matter at present.

According to media reports, officials from both countries are trying to finalize a business deal before Prime Minister Modi and Trump visit Houston. Trade ties between India and the US have become a bit strained after US President Donald Trump remarked that tariffs imposed on American products by India would no longer be shared.

In June, the US canceled India's status as a beneficiary developing country under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program. In response to India's removal of preferential trade privatization by the Trump administration, India increased rates on 28 US products, including almonds and apples, from June 5th.

Referring to the record-breaking presence of more than 50,000 Indian Americans at the 'Howdy Modi' event, Trump said that a large number of people would be uprooted after announcing that he would attend the program. After the event in Houston, Trump will attend an event in Ohio with the Australian Prime Minister. Trump said that he had very good relations with both India and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi will visit the United States between September 21 and 27, in which he will meet with Trump and address the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Modi will make his first trip to the US after becoming Prime Minister for the second time. Trump and Modi are also expected to visit the United Nations during the General Assembly.

Modi will address the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 27 after addressing Indian-American society in Houston during his US tour.

While the whole world is celebrating Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary, Modi will be participating in a special program 'Leadership Matters: Relocation of Gandhi in the Contemporary World' on September 24. Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said some other leaders of the country would also join the program.
