Genocide on 3rd day in Afghanistan: 29 killed in two attacks

Kabul, Ta. September 19, 2019, Thursday

Elections are scheduled to take place in Afghanistan later this month. The situation in war-torn Afghanistan is getting worse day by day. In the battle between the Afghan army and the Taliban as well as the US, ordinary people are being victimized. For the third consecutive day, the genocide remains unchanged in Afghanistan.

In two separate attacks in southern and eastern Afghanistan, 29 people have been killed and more than 150 people have been injured in both incidents. Attacks in Afghanistan have increased since US President Donald Trump stopped communicating with the Taliban.

A suicide bombing took place in southern Afghanistan on Thursday morning, killing 20 people and wounding more than 90. The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack. A truck bomb exploded at a hospital in Kalat city, southern Afghanistan. The blast also damaged some parts of the hospital.

Those visiting hospital patients ejected the blast victims and admitted them to the same hospital. Locals said the explosion was very severe and the subsequent scenes were horrific. Taliban said that his target in the attack was the office of the National Security Department, which damaged one wall.

Hours after the attack, news came out that nine civilians had lost their lives in a drone strike in eastern Afghanistan. The attack took place on Wednesday night. Local officials said the attack was aimed at targeting Islamic State planes, but ordinary civilians were targeted by the mistake.

Others say 30 people have been killed in the attacks, and 50 have been injured, but the government does not confirm. The Taliban have escalated such attacks since the beginning of the month, breaking the peace agreement with the United States.

The nine people who died in the drone strike were laborers, who came to pick up nuts. They were sleeping in the camp when the drone struck. The drone strikes were also supported by the US-backed Afghan military.

It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday, more than 50 people were killed and as many were injured in two separate attacks by the Taliban. The Taliban have become more aggressive with the presidential elections late this month.
