Crop border crops. Unprovoked firing of military: Jawan martyr

(PTI) Jammu, Ta. September 1, 2019, Sunday

Confirming that the situation is normalizing in Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik's adviser Farooq Khan on Sunday claimed that 150 to 200 terrorists were active in the Kashmir Valley. On the other side, a jawan was martyred by Pakistani forces firing on the border along the Poonch border.

Farooq Khan, adviser to Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik, said on Sunday that thousands of terrorists were active in the valley area earlier, but the number has now reduced to 150 to 200.

However, the terrorists will be ready to face the consequences of going to jail. Pakistan has been trying to create unrest in Kashmir since 1947. Every citizen needs to be careful about this, he said during a ceremony.

Meanwhile, Pakistan continues to break the ceasefire on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir and fired mortar shelling and small arms at the forward posts and villages in which one Jawan was martyred on Sunday.

Indian troops responded in response to shootings by Pakistani forces. Pakistan broke the ceasefire once more the day the army chief Bipin Rawat visited forces on the Line of Control in Poonch and Rajouri districts. Here General Rawat reviewed the operational readiness and current status of the White Knight Corps units.

Five soldiers were martyred in the shootings by Pakistan since July and seven people have been killed and several others have been injured, including a 10-day-old baby. The Pakistani military has been repeatedly violating ceasefire along the border since July.
