New delhi date. September 19, 2019, Thursday

In the capital city of Delhi, there was a clash between Thakare Chakkajam and schools were closed in protest against the various provisions of the new motor vehicle law. After the United Front of Transport Association (UFTF) announced the strike, 41 organizations representing trucks, buses, auto, tempo, maxi cabs and taxis in Delhi-NCR went on strike.

Transporters' strike in Delhi and NCR has forced schools to close in several places. Due to the strike of the transporters, the strike crews performed several rounds. In addition, many travelers encountered halakie when they stopped the auto and cab carrying the passenger on the road.

Commercial vehicle operators say the government should provide facilities first and improve its system. After that such a huge currency hit. United Front of Transport Association general secretary Shyamlal Gola said he tried to talk to the central and Delhi government for 15 days, but no one listened to him.

On September 9th we took out a protest against the new Motor Vehicle Act. Yet nobody listened to us. There is a sharp outcry against the huge increase in the currency of the new Motor Vehicle Act in transporters. The impact of the strike of 51 organizations was seen in Delhi. "We will strike indefinitely nationwide if the government does not listen to us," Gola said.
