Ajit Dobhal will prepare and submit a report to India's new Military Doctrine

New Delhi, September 19, 2019, Thursday

India's national security adviser Ajit Dobhal is the chairman of India's Defense Planning Committee, and under his chairmanship, the committee is devising a new military doctrine in India.

He is likely to submit a military doctorate to the government in October. The Defense Planning Committee was formed in 2018. But his report was kept pending till the announcement of the Chief of Defense staff. However, now that General Bipin Rawat has been made Chief of Staff, the committee will submit the report on the Military Doctrine to the government soon.

It is believed that this doctrine will clarify India's policy of not using nuclear weapons first. It will be clear on which front of India the greater military threat is. The amount of ammunition stock will also be determined based on this doctor. It will also include what is needed if the Indian Navy is to fight abroad.
