90 percent of Kashmir free from sanctions during the day: Principal Secretary

Following the abolition of Article 370, restrictions on Internet service were imposed on Kashmir in the wake of fears of violence, and curfew was imposed in areas that were considered too sensitive. However, it is now being relieved and gradually all sanctions are being lifted.

The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary says that 90 percent of the sanctions imposed in Kashmir during the day have been removed from the area.

That means only 10 percent of the day's restrictions are on Kashmir. These sanctions, even in the present day, are in the area of ​​only 10 per cent. In addition, there is a possibility of violence.

Addressing a press conference at the time, Chief Secretary Rohit Kansal said that 90 per cent of the valley area has been freed during the day. Of the restrictions imposed on law and order, 92 police stations have been removed from the area. These restrictions, which were imposed during the day, are removed.

Last week, restrictions were lifted from 81 police station areas. As many as 26,000 landlines have been launched in the valley. In Kashmir, sanctions are still issued in several terror-hit areas. In addition, efforts are being made by Pakistan to incite violence for which internet is being used.

In view of this, internet service has not yet been launched in many areas. While the government has also made arrangements for communication. "We have decided that a further 29 exchanges have been opened with the number being active from 76 out of 95," the Chief Secretary said. 26000 landline phones have been launched in the Valley alone.
