During the whole year two-thirds of patients were men. There are four lakh twenty thousand people suffering from TB in Uttar Pradesh. 187 people per million suffer from TB in this state.

Maharashtra comes in second with ten percent of patients. Seven to seven per cent people in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat suffer from TB. Eighty-five percent of the people in Tamil Nadu, Bihar and West Bengal are victims of the disease.

At one time, TB was considered an epidemic and no proper treatment was available. Now accurate treatment is available. But sometimes it can happen that with some relief the patient can skip treatment halfway.

About 25% of the total TB patients were identified by private nursing homes and hospitals. The most striking thing was that about 89 percent of patients had an average age of 15 to 69 years. That is, teenagers also became victims of TB. Timely treatment can relieve TB.
