1 child died after vaccination in Ujjain, many hospitalized in critical condition

One child died after being given a vaccine in a camp organized to vaccinate children in the village of Liboda in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh and many others had to be hospitalized after falling ill.

Due to this incident, health officials of the district had come into tension. The district's vaccination officer K C Verma immediately ordered an inquiry and said strict action would be taken against the responsible.

What vaccines were given to children has not yet been revealed. A spokeswoman said all children were given the same vaccine. The same vaccine was given to the child who died. Why he died was also being investigated. In the village, people were in tension due to the incident. However the atmosphere was cool.
