Violence in Tughlakhabad- More than 91 arrests, Bhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar Azad included

More than 15 policemen were injured in the violence that erupted on Wednesday night in the Tughlakhabad area of ​​the capital, New Delhi. In this regard, the police arrested a total of 91, including Chandrasekhar Azad alias Ravan of Bhim Army. Paramilitary forces were deployed in the area early Thursday morning.

All those arrested were charged with rioting, damaging public and private property, and others. All the detainees will be produced before the court today.

An anti-Dalit community rally was held on Wednesday evening at Ramlila Maidan, after the temple was demolished at the temple of Saint Ravidas in Tughlakhabad. Thousands of Dalits started to stumble back after the meeting was over. The violence was blatant in the blink of an eye and the rioters clashed directly with the police. Police fired several rounds into the air, despite the police lathicharge making no difference.
