Former Tehelka editor-in-chief Tejpal has been shocked by the Supreme Court. Rejecting Tejpal's petition, the court has directed her to continue her sexual exploitation case. The Supreme Court ordered that Goa's court complete the trial within six months. The court also said that too much time has already passed in this case and this cannot be kept for longer.

Journalist Tarun Tejpal is accused of molesting his junior colleague in a hotel elevator in Goa. He had demanded in the Supreme Court to dismiss the charges against him. However, at the last hearing, the court reserved the decision. The Supreme Court questioned Tejpal's petition, "If you are right, why did you mail an apology?"

It is worth mentioning that after Tejpal was accused of sexual exploitation of his junior colleague in December 2013, the former editor of Tahlaka also apologized but had to resign from his post as protests mounted.
