Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister P. Prasad Singh is facing corruption charges in the INX case. Chidambaram has appeared in CBI court today after his sudden detention.

CBI officer entered the house, wall wall
Although the CBI had also reached the house behind them, the CBI officer entered into the house as the door was closed and started inquiries into Chidambaram's house at nine hours later. The agency arrested them after about an hour of questioning. The CBI had taken Chidambaram to his headquarters for further questioning.

... and a dramatic event started at Chidambaram's house
Former Finance Minister Chidambaram suddenly appeared before the media through a press conference. They held this press conference at the Congress headquarters in Delhi and reached their place only 5 minutes away. Within minutes of the counting, the CBI-ED team also reached behind Chidambaram at his house.

Troubled by son Karti too, the High Court dismissed Stani's demand on the case transfer
P. Apart from Chidambaram, a case is also being registered against his son Karti. The case involving the revenue department was transferred to the Special Court, against which Karti sought stay. Karti appealed for the stay to the Madras High Court and demanded that the stay be granted on transfer of the case to the special court.

However, this demand was rejected by the High Court, so the problem of the son can now be increased in addition to the father. The judge has refused to grant the present stay on the petition for Karti's petition, with the matter now scheduled for further hearing on August 30. Karti is accused of rigging a revenue of Rs 1.35 crore. Inquiries are underway as they failed to show the source of where this revenue came from.
