Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has sent a notice of defamation worth Rs 1,000 crore to anchor Najam Sethi, a private TV channel. Imran Khan has filed a case of defamation against Najam Sethi on charges of showing false news related to his personal life.

According to Prime Minister's Adviser Babar Anwar, Najam Sethi has tried to spread his image by spreading a greedy agenda on Imran Khan's personal life so that he has been sent a notice of defamation.

Azhar Laghari, public relations president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, posted a photo of the notice and other informants on Twitter. The notice states that no leniency should be shown against the Prime Minister for those who transmit any false news. Laghari had alleged that Najam Sethi made several embarrassing claims about Imran Khan's personal life.

Laghari said that Najam Sethi, with the help of a private TV channel, tried to sabotage the image of the Prime Minister by violating law and morals. Moreover, he hoped to face Najam Sethi instead of fleeing the court because otherwise Sethi would have to pay Rs 1,000 crore.
