Important announcement on army, country to get Chief of Defense Staff: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a major decision from the Red Fort to the post of Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), the general of the three armies. PM Modi said that there was a long discussion on improving the military system, military power and military resources in our country. Reports of many commissions came. Each report states that there is a coordination between the three armies, water, land and nabha, but in the way the world is changing today, India cannot run in pieces.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that all our military forces will have to work together. Now we will manage the Chief of Defense Staff, CDS. After the formation of this position, all three forces will have effective leadership at the President level.

There is currently a Chief Staff Committee (COSC). The Chief of Staff is the President of the Army, Navy and Air Force on the Committee. The chairman of the most senior members is also appointed. This position is given to the senior person till retirement on a rotation basis. Demand for becoming Chief of Defense has been demanding for a long time. Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the appointment of Chief of Staff.

In the Kargil war in 199, it was found that there was a lack of coordination between the three armies. Subsequently the post of Chief of Staff was created in the country. His job is to coordinate between the three armies. Then in 2012, the Narendra Chandra Kadam demanded a permanent post of Chief of Defense Staff for this.

PM Modi attacks terrorism

Addressing the country from the Red Fort, PM Modi said that the world is surrounded by insecurity today. Someone in the world is dying in some part. India is fighting against the spread of terror.

Without naming Pakistan, PM Modi said, "We will bring terrorists to the shelter in front of the world and eliminate terrorists as well." Some have harassed not only India but also the neighboring nations. Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka are battling terrorism. PM Modi said that India will not be foolish in this. It's time to bring out the exporters of terrorism.
