Court displeasure over Narayan Sai, did not send the nourishment money to his wife

Narayan Sai, the son of controversial cleric Asaram, ordered his wife to serve a notice to the Surat jail superintendent on Tuesday, not sending his wife the same amount of reimbursement as previously decided.

Janaki Devi, a resident of Indore, demanded reimbursement in the Family Court, complaining that she was Narayan Sai's wife and that Narayan had separated after his marriage. The court ordered Surat's jail superintendent to seek an answer on the matter. The family court had earlier ordered Narayan to make provision for regular maintenance of his wife Janaki.

Narayan Sai had assured the court that he would send regular payment to his wife. But Janaki Devi complained to the court that the guarantee was not upheld.
