6.9 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia's south coast region

A devastating earthquake struck Java island of Indonesia's southern coastal area, and the country's disaster agency issued a tsunami alert in the wake of the quake.

According to the American Geological Survey, the magnitude of the quake was 6.9, and the epicenter was 150 km away from the city of Labuan. Indonesia's disaster agency said the tsunami would raise high waves in the sea giving serious warnings, saying people were supposed to leave the coastal areas;
