17 telephone exchanges were set up in Kashmir, internet was also started in Jammu

Mobile and Internet service has been started for the first time since Article 370 has been removed from Jammu and Kashmir. Internet service has been started at 2G speed in Jammu.

Land lines services under 17 telephone exchanges have been started in Kashmir Valley. There are a total of 100 telephone exchanges in the Valley. Land line services have been started in Budgam, Sonmarg and Manigam in central Kashmir.

Telephone service has also been started in Qazigund, Pahalgam, North Kashmir, Gujraj, Tang Marg and Uri in South Kashmir.

In the area from Udhampur to Jammu, 2G internet service has also been started.
