Thousands of Mahalaxmi Express trapped in flood waters have been rescued

The Mahalaxmi Express train, which left for Kolhapur last night, was trapped in the flood waters between Wangani-Badalpur station amidst heavy thunderstorms. Navy, Air Force and SDRF teams were deployed to rescue the five passengers on the train. Two helicopters and several rubber boats were unloaded. At four o'clock in the evening, all the tourists were rescued and then transported to Badlapur station with the help of 3 buses and three tempos. Where TC and the station master had given him food. In order to deliver the victims to Kolhapur, the railway had decided to run a 4-train special train from Kalyan to Kolhapur in the evening. He was flown from Badlapur to Kalyapur in a special locale rushed for the tourists and from there was sent on a special train to Kolhapur.
