In Assam-Bihar, eight rivers above danger level, four in Bihar and one in Bengal

Many states in the country have caused flooding due to heavy rains and the rivers are rising above the danger level. Due to torrential rains, four people have been killed in Bihar and more than 18 lakh people have been affected in 9 districts. Due to torrential rains in the catchment area on the border of Nepal, five rivers in Bihar are rising above the danger level. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did an aerial survey of flood affected areas.

On the other side, in the northern part of West Bengal, water was flooded in low lying areas due to torrential rains and one person died due to falling into a sewer in Jalpaiguri district. Meanwhile, heavy rains lashed the Punjab and Haryana also. However, due to the rain there has been relief for the people leaving the temperature.

More than 18 lakh people have been affected due to flooding in Panchavan block of nine districts of Bihar. 13 teams of NDRF and SDRF have been appointed to carry relief and rescue operations in flood affected districts. The system has started 152 relief camps, in which over 45,000 people have been sheltered. Here is the average rainfall of 280 to 300 mm in three to four days.

Meanwhile, 40-year-old Beamal Seal fell into a seep after the roads were flooded due to heavy rain on Saturday night in Shanupura area of ​​Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. Sources said heavy rains have been occurring in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Kochbihar and Alipurdur in the last five days.

The Meteorological Department had predicted heavy to heavy rains till Monday. Here the level of water in the Teesta, Sanoco, Rhodak, Kalajani, Corolla, Shill, Torsa and Ghish rivers is above the hazardous level. In the last two days, landslides have also occurred in some places due to rain.
