Heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan-Kerala: 53 dead, three missing

Heavy rains lashed many places in Uttar Pradesh, including Uttar Pradesh, killing 53 people today. The death toll in Uttar Pradesh, including 32, has also increased. Besides, four persons were killed and three missing, including two fishermen, were killed due to heavy rains in Kerala.

A red alert was announced till July 23 for the districts of Kasargood, Iduzuki, Kozhikode and Kannur. Among the missing fishermen in Tamil Nadu, 55-year-old Samadaraju's body was found in Kollam district, coastal police said.

'The search for two other missing fishermen was issued. A Coast Guard Ship as well as two boats of Marine Enforcement were dispatched to search for them, '' Coast Police said. On July 21, the Indian weather station issued a red alert for some districts. Heavy to heavy rains were also forecast in Kannur and Kasaragod.

He died of lightning while four persons were working under rain in a farm in Jhalawar in Rajasthan. People were happy to receive heavy rains even today in Dariman, New Delhi and its surrounding areas. It was also forecast to be good for the next week.

In other cities and states of northern India, people were shivering with extreme heat. However, Punjab was threatened with heavy floods due to rains. Roads were submerged in Haryana's Gurgaon and Chhatarpur in Delhi. There was also a flood of water at some metro railway stations in Delhi.
