Bomb blast in Somalia kills 17, injures more than 24

A car bomb blast in the Somalia capital of Mogadishu has killed 17 people and injured more than two dozen people, al-Shabaab's terrorist organization said. The explosion occurred near a security checkpoint on the main road of the International Airport.

According to witnesses of the attack, the attack took place near the main gate of a hotel. The explosion was so powerful that it caused great damage to the surrounding buildings.

It is worth mentioning that al-Shabab militants opened fire on a well-known hotel in Kismayo city in southern Somalia for 12 hours. In which 26 people were killed and 56 were injured.
