Russia hit by ISIS terror attack, 60 dead, more than 150 injured, death toll likely to rise

In it, the terror group said it targeted a large congregation of Christians in the city of Krasnogorsk, outside the Russian capital Moscow, killing scores and injuring hundreds.

The biggest attack in two decades

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called it a 'major tragedy' and said Russia's top investigative agency was investigating the attack as a terrorist attack. The attack is being described as the deadliest terrorist attack in Russia in two decades.

More than 60 people have died so far

A statement issued by the Kremlin said President Putin had been fully briefed on the attack. The attack happened as a crowd gathered for a performance by Russian rock band Picnic. According to reports, four to five gunmen entered the Krakow city concert hall and opened fire on the crowd with automatic weapons, killing at least 60 people. There are also reports of more than 145 people injured. The attackers also used explosives. The death toll is likely to rise.
