Violence erupts in Bangladesh ahead of elections, burning 14 polling stations and 2 schools

Bangladesh Elections: When voting is going on for general elections in Bangladesh today, terrible violence has started in many districts. According to reports from sources, violence has broken out in around 10 districts in which 14 polling booths and 2 schools have been set on fire. It may be mentioned that earlier a train was set on fire in which five people died.

The opposition party boycotted the election

As India's neighboring country Bangladesh goes to polls for general elections today, horrific violence has erupted in around 10 districts. 14 polling booths and 2 schools were set on fire before the polling started for the elections. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's fourth term victory in Bangladesh is considered certain as the main opposition party has boycotted the election. Leaders and workers of former PM Khaleda Zia's Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and other parties are on a 48-hour strike.

BNP announced to boycott the elections

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina has appealed to the people to vote as much as possible in the general elections. He said that your right to vote will prove that democracy is alive in the country. However, protests by opposition parties will continue even on polling day. BNP has announced to boycott this general election demanding Sheikh Hasina's resignation. He has appealed to as many people as possible to participate in this strike.

Earlier the train was set on fire

Earlier, some miscreants set fire to a train in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, in which five people died, while many people were also reported injured in the violence. This incident took place on Friday night at 9.05 hours, after receiving the information, 7 vehicles of the fire brigade were dispatched to the scene.
