How planes collide

At Hokkaido's New Chitose Airport, a towing car was pushing back a Korean Airlines plane before takeoff, according to a Korean Airlines official. Meanwhile, the plane skidded due to snow on the ground. Due to which the wing of the plane collided with the wing of Cathay Pacific Airways. However, no official statement has emerged as to whether there were any passengers on board the Cathay Pacific Airways flight. No casualty was reported in the incident.

It may be mentioned that, earlier, a passenger plane of Japan Airlines, JAL 516, collided with an aircraft of the Japan Coast Guard parked there while landing. After the incident, both the planes caught fire, killing five crew members of the Coast Guard plane. This Coast Guard aircraft was going to deliver essential goods to the earthquake affected areas.
