India Maldives Row: After the order to remove the Indian army, now the government of Maldives, Mohammad Muijjoo, has started strengthening relations with one anti-India country after another. After signing several agreements with China, the Muijju government is now entering into an agreement with Turkey for the purchase of lethal drones. The Muijju government has signed an agreement worth 3.7 million dollars with the Turkish company Byker. Byker is the company of Turkish President Erdogan's son-in-law.
After assuming office in the Maldives, Muijju first went to Turkey. These drones of Turkey have already wreaked havoc in the war from Armenia to Ukraine. India's neighboring country Pakistan also uses this killer drone.
The Maldives government says that it is buying this military drone to monitor its vast marine area. According to Maldives media reports, the Muijju government has also disclosed the money for this drone deal. Earlier, India had given Dornier aircraft and helicopters to Maldives for its coastal operations. These planes were being repaired by the Indian Army Technical Force. The President of Maldives has given an ultimatum to these Indian soldiers to leave the country by March 15. The Muijju government is believed to have struck a deal with Turkey to meet the shortage and is placing orders for military drones.
