Bhopal: A case has come to light that 26 girls have disappeared from an illegal girls' home in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. These girls were brought from Gujarat, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Sihore, Raisen, Chhindwara of Madhya Pradesh. The police have registered an FIR against the manager Anil Mathew for running a girl's home illegally without any permission and are investigating. National Child Commission Chairman Priyank Kanoongo has written a letter to the Madhya Pradesh Police seeking an answer in this case.

A girl's home was being run illegally in Parvalia Police Station area of ​​Bhopal. Controversy has arisen after a private NGO Anchal in Bhopal came to light about the disappearance of girls from a missionary's hostel. In fact, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights Chairman Priyank Kanoongo paid a surprise visit to Anchal Balika Griha in Parvalia on the outskirts of Bhopal. Meanwhile, he checked the register and found that there were entries of 68 girls, but 26 girls were missing from the girls' home.

According to sources, 12 of the 26 missing girls have been found from their homes. On the other hand, two officers have been suspended with immediate effect for negligence and show cause notices have been issued to two officers. 41 girls have been shifted from Balika Griha to registered Bal Griha. The Child Development Commission said that the orphanage was not registered. Also, the information about the girls who were rescued here was not given to the CWC. The manager of the children's home, Anil Mathew, could not give a satisfactory answer when questioned about the missing girls. After that the police was informed. According to the FIR, several malpractices have come to light in this children's home run for girls. Priyank Kanoongo, chairman of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, said in a tweet that an illegal children's home run by a missionary was inspected jointly with the chairman and members of the state child commission in Bhopal. An NGO was rescuing girls from the streets. The balika griha was run secretly without informing the government and without obtaining a license and Christian religious practices were carried out here. This missionary organization has been accused of proselytizing. Most of the more than 40 girls aged 6 to 18 in this girls' home are Hindus.

After this incident came to light, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, wrote on Twitter, "I have come to my attention about the disappearance of 26 girls from an unauthorized children's home in Parvalia Police Station, Bhopal. Considering the seriousness and sensitivity of this matter, the government should take immediate action in this case.
