According to information available on flight tracking website Flightradar24, the flight is being operated by a Boeing 777-337 (ER) aircraft. The official said that the flight was diverted to London due to a medical emergency on board.

The flight was over Norwegian airspace when it had to make an emergency landing at London's Heathrow. The plane is likely to carry more than 350 passengers. The official said that after dropping off the passenger, the plane will go from London to Delhi. Details about the medical emergency were not immediately available. According to the pilot of the aircraft, the flight is likely to be delayed by at least 6-7 hours before landing in Delhi.

Indigo flight also made an emergency landing

Earlier, the Indigo flight from New Delhi to Devgarh made an emergency landing in Lucknow after receiving a bomb threat. The investigation was started after an emergency landing was made at the airport keeping in mind the safety of the passengers of the flight. According to IndiGo, the flight from Delhi to Devgarh was panicked after receiving a notification that there was a bomb. IndiGo flight 6E 6191 from Delhi to Devgarh was diverted to Lucknow airport after receiving a bomb threat.
