Smoke in SpiceJet plane, flight returns to Delhi

The SpiceJet flight from Delhi to Jabalpur had to make an emergency landing at the Delhi airport again shortly after take-off this morning. The plane had to make an emergency landing due to smoke in the pilot's cabin after reaching altitude, according to information provided by SpiceJet.

A SpiceJet spokesman said smoke was seen in the pilot's cabin when the plane reached an altitude of 5,000 feet after taking off. The plane then had to land back at Delhi airport.

Video of the incident has also surfaced in which it can be seen that smoke has spread in the plane. Passengers sitting inside it are having trouble because of the smoke. After the emergency landing, the passengers were kept at the airport and arrangements were made to take them to Jabalpur by another plane.

There was also an emergency landing on 19 June

The SpiceJet plane also had to make an emergency landing on June 19. The plane, carrying 185 passengers, landed at Patna's Jaiprakash International Airport after a fire broke out.
