Will there be a global health emergency due to 'Monkey Pox'? 23rd meeting of WHO

- Corona outbreak was declared a 'World Health Emergency' worldwide in early 2020

New York: The World Health Organization (WHO) announced yesterday that an emergency meeting will be convened on June 9 to decide whether to declare a global health emergency due to the rapidly spreading monkey pox around the world.

At this stage, it is worth mentioning that when the corona virus started spreading in early 2020, the WHO declared a "global emergency" on January 20, 2020.

WHO President Tedros Aghanom Debreis said the outbreak of "Monkey Pox" was unusual and worrying. That is why I have decided to convene an emergency meeting next week under the 'International Health Rules' to decide whether the outbreak is a matter of international concern.

It is to be mentioned that in just 3 days, more than 200 cases of this disease have been reported in more than 50 countries. In which most are men. Most of them are gay-bisexual (homosexual or biosexual men)

The disease is so frightening that anyone who comes in contact with the disease gets infected even if they come in contact with it.

Cases of this disease are also reported in Africa after Britain. According to British statistics, 4% of cases are reported by men. Most of them were found in London. About 1.5 cases have been reported so far. In Africa, therefore, 1 death has been reported, although no deaths have been reported outside of Africa. Spain, Germany and Canada have the second highest number of cases reported after Britain.
