Will CM Uddhav Thackeray resign before the floor test if the verdict in the Supreme Court is against?

In Maharashtra, the political landscape has been changing day by day since the uprising led by Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde. In addition to political maneuvers, the two sides are also fighting a legal battle for justice. The Supreme Court had granted relief till July 10 against the ruling disqualifying Shiv Sena rebel MLAs.

The decision, which was recently ordered by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari to conduct a floor test on June 30, has also been challenged in the Supreme Court. It is believed that a hearing is also underway in the Supreme Court but if the verdict does not favor the MVA i.e. Uddhav government known as Maha Vikas Aghadi, he may resign before the floor test.

Even so, the rebellious candidates of the Eknath Shinde group could not be persuaded. The Shinde group is also talking about floor tests. However, the Uddhav government hopes that the floor test will not be held tomorrow. Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, in favor of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, has been arguing that the floor test should not be held for a few days.

In this way, it is known from the floor test whether there is a majority or not, but according to the information received, Singhvi has argued in court that 2 MLAs are abroad, 2 have been coronated. At such a time, the governor has suddenly ordered a floor test.

Some believe that the floor test could only come to an end given the political drama that has been going on in Maharashtra for the last 10 days. One party wants a floor test in the assembly while the other is willing to avoid a floor test. More than 40 Shiv Sena rebel candidates are against the Uddhav government. If a floor test is held in such circumstances, the majority will not be in favor of the Uddhav government. Uddhav Thackeray is rumored to be resigning as chief minister to avoid a dilemma if hopes of a majority seem bleak.
