Corona epidemics, which started in China in December 2019 and spread terrible chaos in the world, have so far been transmitted from man to man, but now, according to a report, the first case of corona transmission from animals to humans has come out. The first case of its kind to be found in Thailand is once again raising concerns in the medical world.

Kovid has become infected after a 32-year-old already healthy female veterinarian in Thailand came in contact with an infected cat. Researchers at the Prince of Songkala University in Thailand reported the case to a veterinarian. In August last year, a woman who was sneezing by a cat living near an infected patient tested positive for corona and was found to be positive. According to a paper published in the journal Emerging Effective Diseases, the study supports the hypothesis of SARS-CoV-2 transmission from owner to cat and from cat to veterinarian.

The veterinarian revealed that 5 days ago he and another veterinarian examined a cat, which turned out to be infected with covid. The cat was sleeping on the same bed on which Corona's infected man was sleeping. In the initial test, the cat was declared free of corona. However, after 3 days, the patient showed symptoms of the virus and started sneezing like a cat. He was found positive in the Covid test.

That is, can corona be transmitted from cats to humans?

This case provides evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 virus can be transmitted to humans through cats. However, experts also say that cats have a lower risk of transmitting the virus to humans. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises that people who are infected with the virus avoid contact with their pets.
