New Delhi, June 10, 2022, Friday

Popular among Indians as a tourist spot, Thailand has become the first country in Asia to recognize cannabis consumption and marijuana cultivation at home.

People in Thailand will now be able to drink and grow marijuana. It has been removed from the list of prohibited drugs. The government plans to send cannabis seeds across the country.

"We want to develop Thailand as a weed wonderland," said the country's health minister. Under the new law, people will be able to grow, consume and sell cannabis on a medical basis. However, smoking marijuana as a hobby is still banned.

The government hopes that cannabis cultivation will help the country earn money and help the economy, which has slowed down due to corona.

Some even celebrated the announcement in Thailand following government recognition. A large number of people arrived at a cafe in Bangkok to buy marijuana and they looked happy.

A dessert called Chokwan Kitty Chopka is also popular in Thailand. Which is made from marijuana. Corona is also seeing a slowdown in its production.
